Last Thursday, the Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust and eight beach management authorities launched a Beach Management Strategy for the Causeway Coast and Glens Area (from Magilligan Point in County Londonderry to Brown’s Bay in County Antrim). The launch took place at the Department of the Environment’s Good Beach Summit in Ballgally. To date the strategy has been formally adopted by Limavady, Coleraine and Larne Borough Councils, Moyle District Council, the National Trust, the Ministry of Defence and supported by DoE’s NIEA and Marine Division.
