Cultural Heritage

Whilst in the past cultural heritage referred to the monumental remains of culture, nowadays it also includes intangible elements, both inextricably linked. Tangible elements arise from the historic environment. Intangible elements include Arts, traditional and sporting events and mythology. However the concept of cultural heritage in our time is an open one, reflecting living culture every bit as much as that of the past.
