Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust (CCGHT), is delighted to share the recently produced AONB Accessibility Audit, completed by renowned accessibility consultants Direct Access. Check it out here.

Using this audit CCGHT seeks to improve accessibility for those of all abilities across our outstanding local landscapes.

Following months of consultation meetings with stakeholders, local people and after a public call for input, Direct Access identified 9 locations to be assessed for accessibility improvements. Site audits were conducted by Direct Access expert Steve Dering, who assessed the locations and made recommendations of how each could be improved to better facilitate a variety of mobility and access needs for residents and visitors.

This work forms part of a larger project which has already seen CCGHT revise and improve internal working practices, and for several free CCGHT publications to be translated into Sign Language and Audio Description formats, available on YouTube.

CCGHT are grateful for support from local stakeholders, community groups, disability advice groups and Equality Commission for NI.

**The Audit is available in both Flipbook and PDF format.
