Preserving the character of our unique landscapes is a main goal for Causeway Coast & Glens Heritage Trust.
CCGHT works with NIEA across the AONB areas to record these characteristics.
Fixed point photography is a project which uses digital images to record change (both positive & negative) in our AONBs.
Seasonally and within a specified time window, the AONB teams visit the same group of locations across the AONBs, taking a photograph in exactly the same way each time- orientation, lens settings etc. This data is used by a landscape architect at NIEA to evaluate landscape level change across NI.
