Through NIEA’s Environment Fund, CCGHT have been able to provide support for bat populations across our AONBs.
During 2024, in conjunction with the NI Bat Group, the Trust organised three free bat safari events across the Antrim Coast & Glens AONB where the public learned about the life cycles and habitats of the seven species of bat in NI.
Using bat detectors, attendees were able to check the skies for bats such as the Soprano Pipistrelle and see them first hand.
