Welcome to the Uncharted Histories of the Causeway Coast Interactive Map. We hope you enjoy exploring the rich historic, built and cultural heritage of the magnificent Causeway Coast. This map primarily focuses on the Causeway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural (AONB), a national designated landscape, which also encompasses the Giant’s Causeway and Causeway Coast UNESCO World Heritage Site (Northern Ireland’s only World Heritage Site).

This map was developed by Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust as part of the Uncharted Histories of the Causeway Coast project, which seeks to explore and share the lesser known histories and stories of the Causeway Coast. This project will deliver free digital resources, training and events to provide access to heritage for local communities, residents and visitors. Histories will also be added to the Northern Ireland Community Archive (digital archive) for posterity.
