Join the Binevenagh Landscape Partnership to collect native tree seeds to help grow HMP Magilligan tree nursery, as well as taking some seeds home for your own back garden. Seeds collected on the woodland edges on Bratwell road will be Rowan and perhaps some birch if the seeds are ripe.

You will also have the opportunity to learn some native tree ID, and what to do with your seeds once you have collected them.

Equipment for seed collection will be provided, but please do bring your own bags/buckets to take home some seeds, and gardening gloves if required.

Please wear suitable sturdy footwear, and prepare for both blazing sun and the odd downpour! The site requires some hopping over wire fences and uneven terrain, so please bear this in mind when booking. Some light refreshments will be provided, but do feel free to bring lunch, extra snacks and water.

Meeting point is 10am sharp in the small layby beside the water pumping station. This section of Bratwell road is between the Sconce road and the Windyhill road. See the MAP LINK  for a street view of the meeting point.
