More Info:

The Harbour Porpoise is the toothed whale most often seen about our coastline. They are small (1.5 metres) and feed mainly on fish like whiting and sand eels. They have a black back and a white underside. They have a characteristic dorsal fin which is seen when they break the surface . After diving they can often be seen blowing air and water from the blow hole on the top of their head.
