Tree ID and Seed Collection – Glenariff Forest Park

Join Causeway Coast and Glens Heritage Trust and Magilligan Tree Nursery to collect native tree seeds to be processed and grown on, as well as taking some seeds home for your own back garden.
After gathering at 9.30am in Glenarriff Forest Carpark you will have the opportunity to learn some native tree ID, and what to do with your seeds once you have collected them. Then we will be outside collecting seeds, followed by soup and a sandwhich in the Team Room.
Equipment for seed collection will be provided, but please do bring your own bags/buckets to take home some seeds, and gardening gloves if required.
Please wear suitable sturdy footwear, and prepare for both blazing sun and the odd downpour! Some light lunch catering will be provided but please bring water.
