Are you aged 16-24 and ready to get your wild on this summer? We are teaming up with Ulster Wildlife this August for a five day residential in the Binevenagh area, taking in the local wildlife, history, conservation projects and of course some time for enjoying all the outdoor activities the area has to offer!

The residential will be based at Magilligan Field center from Monday 16th to Friday 20th August.

This opportunity is open to all young people aged 16-24, however in the event we have more applicants than places, we will apply the following criteria –

• Location – A number of places will be reserved for young people from the Causeway Coast and Glens area or those with an association with the area
• Ability to demonstrate an interest in the environment or natural world
• If the applicant requires a residential to fulfill an award scheme (please let Ulster Wildlife know what award program you are enrolled with)

Young people participating in the Ulster Wildlife Week Residential will stay in shared single sex dormitories supervised by Ulster Wildlife staff 24 hours/day throughout the duration of the residential.

What can you expect to do at your week at the coast?

You can expect days jam packed with activities where you can learn about the natural world, make new friends, gain some pretty cool skills and have fun on our outdoor recreation day. Some things you might experience are moth trapping at the Umbra Nature Reserve, a snorkel safari, beach campfires and much more, but we will keep the rest as a surprise for now!

How to apply for a place?

If you fancy joining us this August, please contact Dawn at Ulster Wildlife for an application form and for more information regarding residential fees.  Dawn.Patterson@ulsterwildlife.org

Places are limited and filling up fast, so don’t miss out on a wild summer!
