Do you live in, work in or visit the Causeway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB)?

Would you like to be involved in the development of the new Causeway Coast AONB Action Plan for 2019-2023?

Then join CCGHT & the AONB team at our public consultation sessions on Thursday 19th September 2019:

Sheep Island View Hostel, Main Street, Ballintoy – 3pm to 5pm

Bushmills Youth Hostel, Main Street, Bushmills – 6pm to 8.30pm

These informal sessions will give local communities and visitors an opportunity to drop-in and share what they value most about their AONB and help to identify the issues, priorities and projects which require action moving forward. The AONB team will be on hand to answer any questions; free literature, CCGHT publications and refreshments will also be available.

No booking required.

Causeway Coast AONB Action Plan is a non-statutory document, being developed by CCGHT on behalf of partner organisations represented within the Causeway Coast AONB Management Forum. It will include actions which work to achieve key objectives for the area, identified within the Causeway Coast AONB Management Plan, 2013 – 2023:

Objective 1. Conserve and enhance the natural environment

Objective 2. Raise awareness, enjoyment and increase access to the area’s exceptional biodiversity and geodiversity

Objective 3. Protect, enhance & increase access to the historic fabric of the AONB

Objective 4. Promote vibrant and sustainable communities with a strong sense of identity and access to economic opportunities

Actions included within the Action Plan must be agreed by all partners/authorities, and will be delivered by the relevant stakeholders within Causeway Coast AONB over the life of the new Action Plan (subject to funding/resources).
